Sizing Guide

Sizing Guide

If your finger nails are wider than 18mm or toe nails are wider than 21mm then unfortunately my press on nails may not fit you.

Below is a multitude of ways to find your sizing for Stephanie Jessica Nails press on nails:

I utilise multiple methods for press on nail sizing. I’m happy for any method of your choice to be used as long as you accept that there will be no refunds, no returns, no exchanges and no replacements for incorrect sizing as sizing is the customers responsibility. Please don’t guess your sizing.

All sizing methods require your nails to be in a clean, natural state and free from any polish or enhancements.

A sizing kit is always the best way to find your sizing for press on nails.

Nail tip brands vary in sizing and artist to artist so please only buy a sizing kit from me to order from me.

All nail beds are different so a sizing kit helps you asses how each shape will fit your nail beds. Sizing does vary slightly between shapes/lengths so please order a sizing kit in each one you want. For example: if you purchase a sizing kit in “Long Almond”, this does not mean that you will be the same size in “Medium Coffin” and so on. All square lengths are exactly the same sizing as they’re the same XL tips cut down to the desired length. If you have one of my sizing kits but want to try a new shape/length please see the guide below.

Clear tape and a ruler:

Most people use this method and achieve great accuracy.

There is a detailed video tutorial of this method on my social media @stephaniejessicanails

When manually measuring it’s always worth adding 1mm to be safe as you can always file the sides and cuticle area if too big but cannot add material if too small.

Soft Measurement tape method:

Measure your nails with a soft measuring tape against the curvature of the centre/widest part width across) of your nail. Write down the size of each nail in mm, repeat for all 10 nails. When manually measuring it’s always worth adding 1mm to be safe as you can always file the sides and cuticle area if too big but cannot add material if too small.

After manually measuring you can compare to the sizing guide at the top of this page converting mm into sizes for the shape/length you desire.

Example:

I want to find my sizes. My thumb is 16mm so I’d need a size 2 for my thumb. I’d repeat this process for all 10 nails. Note your sizes from thumb to pinkie for each hand.

Coin method:

Sizing using the coin method may not be 100% accurate due to images being 2D and not picking up on the profile of your nail beds which can play a factor in getting the perfect fit for your press on nails.

Follow the steps below to ensure we get your sizing as accurate as possible.

•Please submit your order first, select custom sizing and include a note at checkout saying coin method.

•Make sure your nails are clean, free from polish or enchantments and in their natural state.

•Place your thumb on a flat surface with a clear and neutral background (make sure your thumb is as flat as possible).

•Lay a coin (Any UK/GBP coin or a 1 EURO coin or a 25cents/Quarter USA coin ) beside your thumb and make sure the full nail (including sides) are visible.

•Turn flash on or use natural light to get even lighting in the photo.

•Take the photo from a bird's eye view (above). No side angles please.

•Once you have the thumb photo, lay your other 4 fingers flat next to the coin and take another picture.

•Please repeat the process for your other hand.

•When you are done you should have 4 photos, 2 for each hand. Nail sizing may vary for each hand so make sure you repeat the steps for both hands.

•Email your images to stephaniejessicanails@gmail.com and please include your order number and full name. Example below.

Tips on sizing:

If your finger nails are wider than 18mm or toe nails are wider than 21mm then unfortunately my press on nails may not fit you.

All my square lengths are exactly the same sizing as they’re the same XL tips cut down to the desired length.

•If you are having trouble finding your size you can send me your measurements in mm but I cannot be responsible if you have measured incorrectly. When manually measuring it’s always best to add 1mm to be safe as you can always file the sides and cuticle area if too big but cannot add material if too small.

•If you are in between sizes, size up as you can always file the cuticle area and sides down slightly. Sizing up slightly by 1mm is always better than sizing down as width can be slightly filed away but cannot be added. I am not responsible for sizing issues. I can only make nails using the sizes provided by the customer. Please be sure you have used this guide correctly before submitting your sizes. A sizing kit is the most accurate way to size as always highly recommended. Standard sizes are also available, If your sizes are not compatible with the standard sizes you are custom sizing. All sales are final. Refunds, exchanges, remakes and returns cannot be issued.
